Average January 7, 2009 Chris (AZ) I bought this as a gift for my mother. She really likes it and it is definitely a great, small, and portable device. However, some of the menu options could be easier to navigate, and from what I have seen from other reviews, it is true that the corners of the pictures are darker; otherwise picture is good. It comes with a rechargable battery, which is a plus. Overall an average product. Great for beginning and intermediate digital camera users.
Good camera at a good price January 6, 2009 Lina Jiordano (MD) It's a great starter camera. I got it for my son for christmas and he loves it. It is very easy to use and has a big LCD screen. It takes really good pix too with hardly no delay time. I would recommend this camera for anyone especially young adults who love to take pix.
Easy to use December 27, 2008 K. Croskrey I bought this camera just before going abroad on a trip and was very please with what I got. It's very simple and easy to use. I was a little disappointed that it doesn't seem to have a video recording feature, but it is a good point and shoot for a good price!
A Gift Worth Giving December 27, 2008 Rev Z (CA) This was a gift for my 13 y/o son on his birthday. He said he read the instructions, maybe, but it was so easy to use he had mastered each feature in no time.
small and fast, but bad movies and macro December 25, 2008 A. Cook (Ohio) small size and good pic quality make this a decent camera for family use. deal Breakers: MOVIES have terrible sound. constant mechanism noise and audio recording is very quiet. other reviewers had similar problems. also, you cannot adjust zoom while filming; have to stop, zoom, start MACRO mode is a joke. don't even try to take product photos with this camera! i was spoiled by my old fuji S5500 (lost) which took AMAZING "super macro" shots Sweeteners: Very fast power-on time and good speed between shots (roughly 1.5 seconds) particularly great "sports" mode. with flash, sports mode cannot capture motion blur no matter how hard you try! a dozen or so other modes such as "baby" "museum" "beach" "fireworks" etc. are kind of fun but haven't seen much actual use.
